Fall Finery

As Fall has swooped down on me,
I realize I have fallen behind on blogging.
I have missed you all
and am ready to show you
some of the projects that have kept me away from my computer.
This first one is my favorite go to baby hat.
I have made it so many times over the years
and embellished it with many different flowers.
It's for sale on my Etsy Shop.
This pair was a custom order
for a couple of baby cousins
born just 2 days apart.
Instead of a crocheted rose I attached
the knitted version with a pearl bead for each center.
And here's something new
I have fallen in love with!
It looks like an old fashioned
to me.
The pattern can be found
here
I love the puff stitch in the back.
I confess ~ I've made a few of these...
Finally moving on from baby hats,
I knit up these
Wee Baby Leg Warmers
from 100% Baby Alpaca.
Just scrumptious!

In a few days I will have another
completed baby project to show you.
Here's a little sneak peek.

~And speaking of babies...
here's what 2 of my furry ones like most about
my afternoon knitting time.
They get to cozy up on the couch
while I sit across the room
and work away.
We are all quite happy :)))

  1. You have been busy, I love the knotted flowers on your baby hats, quite different from what I've seen before. Love the photo of your babies all snuggled up, that's just how ours like to be :) xx

    1. Hi Cheryl~
Thanks! The pattern for the knitted flowers is from the book called "Knitted Flowers" :) by Nicky Epstein. This book is a wonderful pattern source for many pretty things.
What kind of furry babies do you have?
I have 3 dogs, 1 cat and 3 birds. Just love them!
      Happy Day Dear,

      Thanks for missing me :)))
Life is a bit slow paced for me right now. I am adjusting to new medication and keeping a low profile in the midst of it all. I have really missed my blog friends and decided it was time to get back at it. We are having a rainy day here ~ just perfect for blogging!
      Hugs to you,
      Danette

    1. Thank you so much for contacting Denise for me! I really appreciate it. I am giving myself Enbrel injections every Wednesday morning. This will be week 7. I understand it takes about 3 months to notice a real difference, but it is gradually helping my RA. I am still adjusting though and I am KNOCKED OUT on the couch for the whole afternoon on Wednesday. That should eventually go away though.
Thanks for your help and kind words!
      xoxo

  7. The hats are so soft and pretty! When my middle daughter was little, she had the cutest chubby little legs. Those leg warmers would have looked darling on her! Take care Danette. It's always tough getting used to new meds.

My youngest had those big chubby legs too!
Thanks for your encouraging words. I really do appreciate them :) I am doing way better on this medication than the one we tried for a couple of years before. Pretty soon the tiredness will go away.
      Have a lovely day {it's cold here. 2o degrees lower than the norm. We had a light snow today}
