Bunny Love

Though I am in the midst of a big snow today,
my mind is filled with
~ Bunnies ~
I suffer from serious
Bunny Love!
Whether they be the actual furry little creature
hopping around my yard
or
stuffed with fluff,
I just
LOVE BUNNIES!
So ~
over the weekend I started knitting these darling fellas.
I made them last year for Easter too.
The pattern is in one of my favorite books:
VINTAGE KNITS
for
Modern Babies
by
Hadley Fierlinger
I gathered all my supplies on Friday
and put them in a basket
and started knitting.
Don't you just love that fluffy pom~pom tail ?!!
They really are
too
darn
cute!
And where there's a
bunny
there has to be a
carrot
This is a
I put three little jingle bells in the center of the stuffing
and
Voila'
a
baby rattle
was born!

If you are in the path of
 Winter's Last Stand
as I am
I hope you are
staying warm and snuggly and safe inside
where you are surrounded by
 your loved ones
hot drinks
good food
&
as much
yarn
as it takes to ride it out!

February Fun

February has been a fun filled month!
And a very busy one.
I cannot believe I have not blogged since
February 1st!!!
I thought I would hit the highlights of my month
with all of you.
I finished this pair of fingerless mitts for my oldest daughter
Hilary
She loves them!
And, of course, there was all kinds of fun for
Valentine's Day
Goodies were made
{tea was sipped}
&
Valentine gifts were recieved.
This darling heart was crocheted for me by my friend Mary Anne.
The hand stamped tag on it says
"gentle thoughts of you"
I LOVE IT!
I  had  the great pleasure of helping my granddaughter
Gabby
make her first
Valentine Box
It was a lot of FUN!
She was so excited to take it to school.
A few days later we celebrated my youngest daughter
Chelsea's
25th Birthday
Gabby & Chelsea
Eric, Chelsea & Jose'
Brandon & Hilary
{a little blurry ~ sorry!}
And today there was enough snow for a
Snow Angel
Grammy's Snow Angel

I hope you are all
Happy
Healthy
&
Warm!

P.S. I have finally finished my surprise gift for
Sarah
of

I will mail it off to her
ASAP
and then show you what I came up with :)

Forever Flowers

Although yesterday was only February 2nd,
my
Very Sweet Hubby
has already given me
not one
but
two
beautiful
Bouquets
of
Flowers
We found these exquisite
Vintage Needlepoint
pictures
at a local shop.
They are good sized
measuring about 29 by 19 inches.
I hung them behind my dining room table
where we have wonderful family dinners
play board games
entertain friends
&
where I hold my weekly
Knit Night
They were made by the lovely
talented
hands of some lady I will never know.
But I will appreciate
treasure
&
enjoy
them for my lifetime.
They were priced seperately but we could not bear to
think of them being seperated.
So ~
lucky ME
I came home with both of them!
I just couldn't be more
tickled
I told Scott these are my
Forever Flowers
